Metallurgical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance on new product and process development, design and completion of metallurgical investigations and projects, and monitoring quality control procedures with emphasis on SPC techniques to facilitate the production of high-quality castings for the minerals industry.

• Research new product, process, and quality control procedures and techniques to ensure castings of high quality that meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Perform field service investigations on castings as requested by the Quality Manager and the Marketing Department.
• Maintain accurate records and reports covering new projects as required.
• Prepare status reports on launching new projects that document product development, quality control, and processing technique data.
• Maintain the calibration and standardization of chemical analysis equipment.
• Monitor production processing techniques and provide technical/metallurgical assistance throughout the facility to improve casting quality and reduce scrap levels.
• Assist in the implementation and auditing of ISO-9000.
• Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including but not limited to the Quality Policy Statement as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.

A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent education/experience is required for this position.
