We are seeking skilled MRI Imaging Specialists for a travel opportunity. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Please review the following qualifications and responsibilities.

As an MRI Imaging Specialist, your primary role will involve utilizing magnetic resonance imaging technology to produce high-quality images for medical evaluation. You will also be tasked with preparing and supporting patients throughout the imaging process.
Key Responsibilities

As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be expected to:
  • Verify patient identity, assess imaging requests, and clearly explain procedures to patients, providing comfort and support as needed.
  • Conduct safety screenings for patients prior to MRI procedures.
  • Accurately interpret physician's written directives.
  • Position patients correctly for MRI scans, utilizing immobilization and safety equipment in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist radiologists during imaging procedures.
  • Initiate intravenous lines and administer contrast agents as per established protocols.
  • Review MRI images for technical excellence, organize processed images, and ensure proper labeling.
  • Operate power injectors for contrast administration.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when handling radiation.
  • Maintain precise patient documentation.
  • Utilize the McKesson PACS system effectively.
Qualifications

Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in the field. Required certifications include BLS, ARRT National certification in magnetic resonance imaging, and any necessary state-specific licenses.

Successful MRI Imaging Specialists should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and stooping without difficulty. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.

Essential Certifications: ARRT (MR), BLS, 1 Year

* Additional certifications may be necessary prior to commencing the assignment.
