We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our team as an Electrochemical Cell Design and Development Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrochemical cells at the lab, pilot, and production scales, with a focus on precision and control.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in custom machine design and automated equipment development, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and industry standards. They will work closely with stakeholders to define architecture, develop detailed specifications, and create detailed mechanical designs and select hardware/components.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring that all designs are safe, reliable, and meet industry standards. The successful candidate will perform engineering calculations and FEA to validate equipment and tool designs, create models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials, and develop control narratives and collaborate with controls engineering to execute.
Responsibilities:- Design, build, and commission electrochemical cells at various scales
- Improve existing equipment through targeted upgrades, including automation
- Create concepts and work with stakeholders to define architecture
- Develop detailed specifications to define machine and process requirements
