Job Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to support our Interior Director on all projects, from concept creation to delivering production-ready design solutions. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating compelling design proposals, illustrating ideas in 2D and translating them into 3D.

Responsibilities
  • Develop proposals for production and concept vehicles using 2D sketching, 3D modeling, and 3D rendering skills
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver design solutions
  • Perform benchmarking of competitive vehicles and products
  • Research product and industrial design trends
  • Present design strategies and vision to executives
  • Work closely with studio engineering to bring designs into production
  • Support CAS and clay 3D modelers with clear and representative drawings/renderings
  • Work efficiently and creatively on multiple programs simultaneously
  • Incorporate engineering and manufacturing requirements into design execution
  • Communicate design ideas effectively to the team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in industrial/transportation/automotive design
  • 5+ years' experience in OEM or startup automotive design studios
  • Highly capable with Autodesk Alias, Blender, and Keyshot
  • Experience overseeing component/vehicle development from initial designs to final production
  • Ability to create compelling presentations
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Success in bringing diverse teams into the research and design process
  • Preparation of presentations for upper management
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems
Travel Requirements

20%+ travel (domestic and international)
