Position Overview
We are looking for a committed Housekeeper to take on the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across our facilities while overseeing and mentoring Housekeeping Staff and Participants.
Your role will be vital in upholding high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring a welcoming environment for all at Lambs Farm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance of designated buildings.
- Supervise and instruct Participants in cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and safe work practices.
- Safely operate and maintain mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Implement and uphold Emergency Safety Procedures and Housekeeping Manuals.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Manage and monitor housekeeping supplies and inventory.
- Inspect areas for necessary repairs, generate work orders, and test light bulbs, exit signs, and emergency lights.
- Attend safety and training meetings as required.
- Complete all mandatory annual training.
- Assist with Special Events by working additional hours as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of relevant janitorial experience.
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
- Completion of mandatory training within the first 120 days of employment.
- Valid driver's license with no violations in the past year.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and walking, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Basic Computer Skills:
- Competence in typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and understanding digital communication etiquette.
