We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as an Assessment Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in helping job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate various interest, skill, and aptitude assessments for clients in a professional and organized manner.
- Ensure clients' reasonable accommodations for completing assessments are being met.
- Gather assessment results and provide them to the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
- Maintain clients' assessments in files and client database.
- Complete case notes on a weekly and as needed basis.
- Ensure the classroom is neat, orderly, and clean.
- Ensure clients sign-in/out and maintain sign-in sheets.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Arts in Education or Social Service field, three to five years of experience in training, education, or career development in the workforce development field, or a combination of relevant coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to interact with diverse individuals, including those in specialized populations, and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven.
- Exceptional customer service and engagement skills; prefer training or experience in motivational interviewing and care management techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with publicly-funded programs; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families experience preferable.
- Experience in making reasonable accommodations for customers.
- Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.
- Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with online interest, aptitude, and vocational assessments are preferred.
