Job Summary

Kratos Unmanned Systems, a leading defense technology company, is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and assisting engineers with documentation, process, testing, and general engineering-related support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed development work in the areas of RF, analog, and digital electronics under the guidance of engineers.
  • Collect and analyze engineering test data toward a given objective.
  • Research and analyze electronic components for new designs and replacement of obsolete parts.
  • Implement and test engineering changes.
  • Travel to environmental and electromagnetic interference testing labs to perform new development qualification testing.
  • Travel to customer sites within the U.S. or to Europe to perform vehicle surveys, system installations, and follow-on testing as needed.

Requirements

  • AS degree, technical school credentials in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate experience with computers and various software applications, including MS Office.
  • Experience with mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and tools desired.
  • Ability to travel, foreign and domestic, up to 50%.
  • Possess a passport or be willing and able to obtain one to allow for work travel overseas.

Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a production environment, office environment, and garage/outdoor environment. They will be required to perform repetitive motion and use arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, and manual dexterity for small parts assembly.
