At 804 Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our aircraft and systems.

Job Description

This role is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects and contribute to the development of safe and reliable systems. Your primary focus will be on applying your expertise in software safety standards and requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C and MIL-STD-882.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate hazards, develop safety plans, and conduct risk analyses. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in resolving complex issues and ensuring that our systems meet the highest safety standards.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in system safety engineering, preferably with experience working on aircraft or system development/sustainment programs. A bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required, and advanced degrees or related experience will be considered.

As a successful candidate, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership. You will also possess a strong understanding of aircraft and aircraft systems, as well as operational knowledge of related support systems.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
