- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each client's specific needs
- Provide therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to provide holistic care for clients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Monitor and document clients' progress throughout treatment
- Keep detailed records of patients' progress and treatment plans
- Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other relevant organizations
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- State licensure or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
- Experience working with diverse populations and in a variety of clinical settings
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Bilingual proficiency in a second language
- Experience working with children or geriatric populations
- Knowledge of assistive communication devices and technology
Location: Omaha & Lincoln areas
Job Type: Full-time, 12-Week Contract
