About the RoleNorthern Dauphin Nursing and Rehab is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our Environmental Services Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the department to ensure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Services Management: Ensure the facility and department are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and operable to perform required duties and services.
- Supply Chain Management: Ensure a sufficient level of supplies, disinfectants, equipment, etc. is maintained to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Staff Training and Development: Ensure environmental personnel understand and follow Universal Precautions established safety rules, fire and disaster procedures, and departmental policies and procedures while performing daily tasks.
- Quality Assurance: Make daily rounds to assure that environmental services personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Training and Education: Training in environmental control practices and procedures is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Medical or long-term care experience is desirable.
