Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled ER Nurse to work on our 12-bed unit at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg. The ideal candidate will have experience working in emergency medicine and possess strong critical thinking skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication skills. As an ER Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans and optimize patient outcomes
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a professional and empathetic manner
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and stay current with best practices in emergency nursing
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in emergency nursing; trauma experience a plus
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
