Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to repair and troubleshoot issues related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Repair and install appliances as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Perform maintenance tasks related to plumbing, including pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers, and tubs.
  • Prevent and troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment, fixtures, outlets, and switches.
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance in units and public areas to prevent issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report, respond to, and repair safety issues in guest units, buildings, pools, common areas, and equipment.
  • Complete all daily assignments in a timely manner and prioritize work orders against daily assignments.
  • Maintain the appearance of the property by picking up trash and debris, responding to and mopping up spills, cleaning exterior fixtures, and performing minor plaster repair.
  • Apply wallpaper, paints, sealers, and solvents to exterior and interior building surfaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School education, with post-high school education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Preferred but not necessary: Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline.

  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strives for excellence in all assignments.
