Physical Requirements:


This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift significant weights regularly and remain on your feet for approximately 85% of the workday.

Dependability and reliability in attendance and work performance are essential.

Flexibility to work across all three operational zones (Dry, Cooler, Freezer) is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:


• Conduct various maintenance tasks to uphold the distribution center's facilities and grounds, ensuring compliance with GSF and AIB standards for cleanliness and safety. (45%)


• Inspect and repair mechanical systems, including forklift and pallet jack battery maintenance, to align with health and safety regulations. (5%)


• Perform electrical system maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and cleaning circuit breaker panels. (5%)


• Assist with ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, executing repairs as required. (5%)


• Maintain heating, air conditioning, and plumbing systems to guarantee a comfortable working environment. (5%)


• Inspect alarm systems (fire and protection) and arrange for necessary repairs. (5%)


• Carry out manual repairs as needed (e.g., fixing locks, replacing windows) and demonstrate proficiency with tools and common appliances. (5%)


• Engage in pest control activities, including trap inspections. (5%)


• Conduct general maintenance tasks such as landscaping, painting, and carpentry as assigned. (5%)


• Possess a foundational understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other system repairs to maintain operational efficiency of racking, doors, and dock levelers. (5%)


• Apply knowledge of general maintenance processes and techniques as a maintenance technician, showcasing manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. (5%)


• Perform additional related duties as assigned. (5%)


Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
0 to 2 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with AIB standards (Basic)

• Understanding of battery changing and charging procedures (Basic)

• Knowledge of sanitation and janitorial practices (Basic)

• Basic knowledge of air conditioning systems (Basic)

• Certification in Maintenance and Reliability Professional (Expert)

• Certification in HVAC or building maintenance technology is a plus (Expert)

Skills Required:
• Ability to climb, crawl, squat, kneel, reach, or twist

• Capability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects over 25 pounds

• Effective verbal communication skills

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
