Job Overview

The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at our East Norriton, PA location. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

About The Job

Our medical assistants are responsible for preparing patients for visits with our providers, collecting and sharing pertinent information, and maintaining exam room standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for visits with our providers by obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, pulling up radiology images, and prepping injection materials.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication between patients and providers by collecting and sharing pertinent information.
  • Exam Room Maintenance: Maintain exam room standards by restocking supplies, cleaning rooms and tables as needed, and monitoring biohazard and sharps containers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist providers in preparing patient prescriptions, completing medical and patient forms, and retrieving and responding to voicemails within 24 business hours.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience preferred; BLS certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, ability to work with medical software, knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical records procedures.
