Position: Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner)
Clinical Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the fields of pain management and rehabilitation, including the collection and documentation of patient medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and formulating therapeutic care strategies.
• Conduct daily patient rounds at rehabilitation centers and skilled nursing facilities.
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 patients daily across various healthcare settings.
• Order necessary diagnostic evaluations and proficiently interpret the results.
• Independently prescribe pain management interventions following completion of training.
• Prepare and manage prescription orders for both controlled and non-controlled medications.
• Facilitate communication and coordination of care among patients, families, and multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Triage incoming calls and messages from patients, facilities, and pharmacies.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in medical records.
• Act as a clinical expert and resource for other healthcare teams.
• Engage in the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives to support organizational growth.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of a DEA license.
- Valid Florida Medical License.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and/or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Experience in pain management and rehabilitation preferred.
Healthcare Environment: Rehabilitation centers, Acute Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Medical Specialties: Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation/Physiatry.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with additional weekend coverage required twice a month.
