Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions to enhance existing system capabilities and integrate new technologies.
  • Develop and propose technical approaches aligned with military standards and specifications.
  • Debug and conduct root cause analysis for system anomalies in fielded and development systems.
  • Collaborate with Agile Scrum Teams to ensure Sprint objectives are met.
  • Adhere to prescribed configuration management for all coding.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience in software engineering applied to program development, modeling, and/or simulation.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Navy or Joint systems.
  • Active SECRET US Government Clearance required. US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical aspects required to develop large complex software-intensive systems.
  • Proficient in software development using at least two (2) of the following: Windows, various Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat), C/C++ and Java programming languages.
  • Ability to write unit tests for Java and/or C++ user interfaces.
  • Willingness to develop software using pair programming and swarming techniques under agile processes.
