Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Surgical Care Specialist will include:

  • Preparing patients for surgery by conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Assisting surgeons during operations by maintaining a sterile environment and passing instruments as needed.
  • Providing post-operative care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and managing pain.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Surgical Care Specialist, you must possess:

  • A current RN license and certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
