Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a District Technician. This role will play a crucial part in promoting conservation practices and providing technical assistance to producers in our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the need for conservation work within the district and recommend actions
  • Maintain personal contacts with producers and provide technical assistance
  • Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local laws affecting conservation work
  • Prepare and present conservation programs for schools, groups, and field tours
  • Assist with gathering data for conservation plans and aid producers in applying conservation practices
  • Operate district and NRCS equipment safely and efficiently
Requirements
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a federal background check
