Expected compensation for this role is $34.64/hour, with actual pay determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Position Summary:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I is responsible for executing radiographic procedures at a technical level that does not necessitate constant oversight of technical details.
This role involves performing technical tasks that may require independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging.
The technologist will conduct patient intake by gathering medical histories and must be equipped to address patient inquiries regarding the imaging process.
Following specific directives from healthcare providers on the areas to be imaged, they will guide patients through the imaging process in a safe and comfortable manner.
Proficient operation of imaging equipment is essential, along with a solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology. The technologist should demonstrate knowledge of appropriate imaging techniques across diverse patient populations and may consult with Providers regarding imaging test results, collaborating to determine if additional images are necessary.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Completion of an accredited Radiography program leading to a certificate or degree.
Licensure/Certification:
- Radiology License and IEMA License in Radiography.
- ARRT Radiology Registration or Registry Eligible (must obtain within 6 months of hire if not already registered).
- American Heart Association (BLS) certification.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
- Prior experience with routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology.
- Experience in a customer service or patient experience environment.
