Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Westminster Communities of Florida. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, promoting their dignity, comfort, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment by making beds, removing trash, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Assist with meal service and feeding residents as needed.
  • Take vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nurse.
  • Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
  • Document resident care in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately, and comprehensively.
  • Perform routine rounds to ensure safety precautions and equipment are in place and functioning properly.
  • Avoid skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents who require assistance.
Requirements
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with Florida law.
  • One year of long-term care experience or working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
  • CPR certification.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

This position involves balancing, grasping, pushing, climbing, kneeling, reclining, crouching, lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, fingering, stooping, feeling, seeing, smelling, hearing, and speaking. The individual in this position will be exposed to inside/outside environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory pathogens, and physical equipment hazards. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.
