About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Steward Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images, ensuring patients are properly prepared and positioned.
  • Perform all aspects of breast imaging, including Mammography, Ultrasound assistance, cyst aspiration, core biopsies, and specimen handling.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors to produce high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Process film with accurate patient identification and markers.
  • Explain exams to patients, considering their physical and emotional needs, while maintaining ethical standards.
  • Work within regulations mandated by the State of Massachusetts, MQSA, and ACR.
  • Utilize aseptic sterile techniques for invasive procedures and assist Radiologists or Physicians as needed.
  • Maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and community personnel.
  • Stay current on imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment developments.
  • Execute paperwork, including CPT codes and Physician order sheets.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Certification (Radiography) and (Mammography).
  • Valid Massachusetts License as a Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) and (Mammography).
  • CPR Certification.
