Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for coordinating care delivery, supervising nursing personnel, and ensuring that resident needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice. This is a staff position with direct care responsibilities and supervisor responsibility for caregivers.
Responsibilities:- Supervise nursing personnel to deliver nursing care
- Coordinate care delivery to ensure resident needs are met
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide education and training to caregivers on gerontological nursing practices
- Monitor and report any changes in resident condition to the healthcare team
- 2-3 years of clinical experience in gerontological nursing
- Valid and current LPN/LVN state license
- Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- No mandate to stay over for shift coverage
