Job Title: Certified Medication Aide

At PruittHealth, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications and treatments.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and treatments to our residents, documenting medication administration, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents according to scheduled times and medication administration protocol.
  • Document medication administration in resident records and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Director of Health Services.
  • Assist with monthly medication records and cycle fill or re-ordering of medications.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medication room and medication cart.
  • Order supplies as directed by Charge Nurse.
  • Assist with care needs of residents, including lifting requirements up to 40 pounds.
  • Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with healthcare team to ensure highest level of care.
Requirements:
  • Current, active, and unrestricted Certified Medication Aide Certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Some High School education.
  • On-the-job training provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school graduate.
  • Previous experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Familiarity and willingness to work with elderly population.
