Job Summary

Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC is seeking a skilled Industrial Technician to join our team as a Crane Maintenance Specialist. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high level of expertise in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.
  • Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
  • Perform post-repair audits to ensure safety features are functional and compliant with industry regulations.
  • Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, offering recommendations for material handling improvement and optimizing crane performance.
  • Produce electronic documentation using company tools, obtaining customer signatures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI) to ensure adherence to the highest standards.
  • Complete service reports and other required documents accurately and promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator, following established practices and protocols.
  • Maintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in proper working order, adhering to maintenance schedules and protocols.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting deficiencies to the supervisor to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Follow established safety rules and procedures, including customer guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings to stay informed and engaged on safety best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair; prior experience with cranes is a benefit, but not required.
  • Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license; must be willing to work off the ground and travel as needed.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis; must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. although not on a daily basis; must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis.
  • This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching; occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling.

  • Competitive salary range: $22 - $48 an hour, based on skills, geographic location, internal equity, market/data analysis, number of years of prior relevant experience, degrees and/or certifications, technical assessment score, etc.
