Compensation: $3200/Weekly. On W2

Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensures adherence to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, taking proactive measures to address compliance inquiries or concerns.
  • Gathers pertinent medical history prior to patient examinations and prepares patients for procedures.
  • Assists physicians during diagnostic procedures as directed.
  • Scrubs in to support physicians with the handling of catheters and guide wires.
  • Conducts angiographic and interventional procedures alongside physicians.
  • Prepares and drapes patients appropriately and organizes procedure tables.
  • Provides necessary tray setups and executes surgical scrub procedures, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of sterile techniques.
  • Collaborates with physicians and technologists to determine procedural protocols.
  • Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and procedure rooms through sterilization methods and universal protocols, ensuring adequate supply levels.
  • Utilizes PACS in accordance with hospital guidelines.
  • Executes radiographic procedures with high technical quality.
  • Implements proper radiation safety measures to protect patients from excessive exposure.
  • Oversees equipment maintenance, reporting any deficiencies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensures rooms are stocked appropriately for examinations and at the end of shifts.
  • Loads power injectors with contrast media; prepares for injections; positions patients; immobilizes as necessary.
  • Operates fluoroscopic equipment, positioning patients for rapid sequence imaging during contrast media administration.
  • Prepares supplies for procedures; sets up and maintains sterile trays and other equipment, practicing sterile techniques. Passes instruments and supplies to the physician.
  • Aids in the orientation of new technologists, providing education and training.
  • Monitors inventory expiration dates.
  • Maintains an inventory of catheters, balloons, stents, guide wires, and miscellaneous kits, ordering supplies as needed under the discretion of department leadership.
  • Keeps instrument tables orderly and ensures cleanliness of equipment and rooms while maintaining adequate supplies.
  • Anticipates physician needs by reviewing preference cards and procuring necessary supplies.
  • Exercises cost-effective judgment when utilizing supplies.
  • Operates x-ray equipment when assigned to Radiology Tech duties.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Licensure/Certification:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy permit
  • American Heart Association BLS
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and one (1) year of scrub experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile techniques, and universal precautions.
  • Proficient in operating radiologic equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of patients' age-specific needs.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the assigned area.
  • Competence in producing radiographs and practicing radiation safety procedures.
  • Positive interpersonal skills with staff, patients, families, and physicians.
