Job Title:

Local Contract Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Neuro

Job Summary:

Provides direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Department:

Stepdown Intermediate Care

Shift Timing:

07:00 - 19:30 Monday to Friday, 3 days 12 hour shift

Per Week:

36 Hours

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing.
Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Requirements:
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
