What does a day look like for a Surgical Registered Veterinary Technician at STAFFORD BROOKS CONSULTING?
The focus of our Surgical Registered Veterinary Technicians is on delivering high-quality anesthesia and preparing patients for surgical interventions.
In addition to procedural responsibilities, you will engage with clients and the veterinary community while supporting the surgical team through instrument preparation and maintaining precise medical documentation.
You will encounter diverse and complex cases, equipped with the resources necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
- Schedule: The surgical team operates on a 3/12 hour shift basis, including rotational weekend shifts. (Weekday shifts may vary, but schedules are confirmed in advance and organized quarterly.)

Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a veterinary surgical setting (preferred) or two years in a veterinary specialty department
- Credentialed Technician in good standing in your current state, eligible for registration transfer
- Strong knowledge and commitment to high standards of anesthesia and patient care
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Interest in collaboration across the organization
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to swiftly assess and respond to unplanned medical situations to ensure safety
- Capability to stand for extended periods with limited breaks
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance
