Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of exceptional service and solutions through engaging member interactions both in-branch and via phone.
  • Develop supportive and productive long-term relationships with members through trust and effective communication.

  • Utilize active listening and constructive dialogue to uncover member needs and financial objectives.

  • Educate members on utilizing LGE technology for transaction completion.
  • Accurately process various member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Ensure the accurate handling of negotiable items and daily balancing for compliance.
  • Open new membership accounts, including deposit, specialty, and business accounts.
  • Address account discrepancies and provide effective solutions or alternatives.
  • Gather necessary application information and documentation to ensure accurate loan origination and closure.
  • Exercise sound judgment in loan origination, providing detailed notes with applications.
  • Analyze credit reports to identify additional opportunities such as new shares, auto refinancing, debt consolidation, credit cards, and mortgage loans.
  • Ensure completeness of applications and supporting documents prior to closing loans or accounts.
  • Achieve or surpass established individual and team service and sales targets.
  • Assist with daily branch operations to create an optimal environment and experience.
  • Exhibit positive behaviors that foster high morale, collaboration, and enthusiasm.
  • Stay vigilant and report any suspicious or fraudulent activities to mitigate potential losses.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge to address routine and complex inquiries regarding LGE products, services, policies, and regulations.
  • Commit to achieving expert-level knowledge of the FSS role through LGE's Universal Agent Training Program.
  • Support the LGE Contact Center by assisting members via phone as needed.
  • Participate in business development and community outreach initiatives.
  • Adhere to all established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, including but not limited to the Privacy Act, OFAC, BSA, Reg. CC, and the Patriot Act.

Qualifications:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Required: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Required: Basic computer operation and program proficiency.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience in retail, credit union, or financial services.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to effectively cross-sell products and services.
  • Skills in gathering, interpreting, and resolving complex issues.
  • Flexibility to support other branch locations as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of lending practices, including credit report interpretation and underwriting criteria.
