Job Summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the receiving, intercompany transfers, picking/packing, and order shipments processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of goods.
  • Supervise and train hourly employees to meet or exceed production standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation and company policies.
  • Monitor and review working practices to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Compile and maintain all necessary records, reports, and logs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, HACCP, and EPA Regulations.
  • Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
Work Environment

The work environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
