Job Title: Senior Security Consultant, Continuity

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Consultant to join our Compliance team at Pondurance. As a Senior Security Consultant, you will be responsible for directing compliance-related consulting engagements from an advisor, assessor, detailed tester, and project manager perspective. You will have a strong knowledge base within a variety of regulatory compliance requirements such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, and CMMC, as well as experience applying these frameworks to industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, education, technology, and retail.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a blend of client services, including assessment, auditing, recommendations, and security advisory.
  • Conduct and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate interviews with client stakeholders.
  • Execute client security program and security controls review.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members and peers.
  • Complete quality assurance reviews on work prepared by team members and peers.
  • Learn emerging technologies, and frameworks, and stay updated with the latest developments in the information security space.
  • Maintain professional certifications and other qualifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience in compliance, information security auditing, and assessment, or 7+ years proven experience in a related information security field.
  • CISSP, CISA, PCI DSS QSA, CMMC, or comparable certifications – highly desired.
  • In-depth understanding of PCI DSS, QSA certification – strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IT concepts (networking, operating systems, databases, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience building information security programs – a plus.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and delivering strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to adjust and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
