The role of a HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER is to oversee housekeeping personnel to guarantee that all accommodations and communal spaces adhere to established cleanliness and quality benchmarks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Lead housekeeping personnel, including room attendants, laundry staff, and public area cleaners, while inspecting, training, and supervising room attendants to ensure that all accommodations and communal areas meet established cleanliness and quality benchmarks.

Facilitates open communication, training, coaching, and counseling while providing performance feedback to ensure optimal efficiency.

Monitors the condition of all housekeeping tools and equipment for proper upkeep, cleaning, and repairs to safeguard assets and ensure maximum efficiency and a safe working environment.

Evaluates inventory, assigns tasks, inspects, verifies, and reports the status of rooms/suites.
Ensures that supply rooms and carts are stocked with necessary items.
Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and prepares periodic reports.
May inspect rooms as occupancy and staffing needs change.
Assists the Executive Housekeeper in implementing incentives and programs that foster positive associate relations.
Supports the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring that guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand standards.
Performs any additional duties as requested by a supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience

A high school diploma is not mandatory.
Up to one month of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to execute assigned tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and minimal supervision.
Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning assigned rooms according to hotel standards.
Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
