About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at Clairmont Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Take and process x-rays, as well as conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories.
  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed.

Our office is a unique and dynamic environment that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community. We are looking for a hardworking and compassionate team member to join our Monday-to-Thursday schedule.

Our office is conveniently located near the Walgreens and Piggly Wiggly, across from the Ascension Hospital in Birmingham.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required by state dental practice act).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience.
