Job Summary

The Mathematics Instructor will be responsible for teaching a comprehensive range of math courses, including Algebra, Calculus, and developmental math, to college students. The instructor may teach classes during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations, including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. Correctional facility instructional assignments may be available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in college tasks, including advising, recruiting, and tutoring.
  • Serve on departmental and college committees, perform community services, and participate in continuing educational and/or professional development opportunities.
  • Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on the ACGM learning outcomes and the Core Curriculum outcomes.
  • Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in a two-year college or in a university.
  • Experience advising college students.
  • Experience serving on college-wide committees.
  • Doctorate degree in the teaching discipline.
