Job Summary

The Maintenance Worker is a key member of the Promises Behavioral Health, LLC team, responsible for maintaining the facility to ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff. This role involves conducting daily maintenance and repairs, inspecting facilities, and maintaining local and state required inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily maintenance and repairs to ensure facilities are in good working condition and cosmetically appropriate.
  • Maintain all local and state required inspections for the facility.
  • Assist maintenance personnel at Wimberley and Promises Austin locations as needed.
  • Obtain competitive bids for products and services from outside vendors and submit to the Facilities Operations Manager.
  • Review and recommend ways to maintain or reduce maintenance purchases.
  • Manage preventative maintenance plan.
  • Maintain a system for after-hours and weekend emergencies by establishing and participating in a rotating on-call system to ensure facility needs are met in a timely manner.
  • May direct and supervise the activities of other maintenance personnel.
  • May oversee and lead construction projects at residential building, systems, equipment.
  • Maintain the facilities vehicles.
  • Follows Fire, Environmental and HAZMAT safety codes and regulations for building, systems and equipment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' work experience maintain and/or installing HVAC, plumbing carpentry and electrical.
  • Valid state driver's license.
