Key Responsibilities:

Overview: SEACORP requires a Software Configuration Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience and the capability to secure a DoD Secret Clearance. This role will involve working collaboratively with team members and clients, addressing challenges, and demonstrating exceptional organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading a Configuration Control Board (CCB) and securing stakeholder endorsements.
  • Administering Software Engineering documentation and their interrelations.
  • Supervising software development environments and managing software release processes.
  • Assisting in the management and verification of build releases.
  • Streamlining builds through scripting and enhancing existing build tools.
  • Ensuring configuration control of software baselines.
  • Overseeing software change documentation.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency with Jira, Git, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with the Agile development methodology.
  • Understanding of software builds and release management.
  • Experience with scripting for Linux environments.

Location: Middletown, RI

Travel Requirement: 5%

Security Clearance: Secret

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This position entails office and computer lab tasks, including periods of sitting, standing, using a mouse and keyboard, viewing screens, and occasional light lifting. Movement between office locations may be necessary. Work conditions are generally stable but may vary slightly with seasonal changes.
