Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time, skilled, and dependable Site Construction Supervisor to enhance our team. This role involves leading and supporting a crew in the construction and restoration of streams and wetlands through various techniques, including stream bank stabilization and floodplain restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and inspire teams of 3-6 members
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and operational teams regarding project requirements
  • Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications accurately
  • Complete daily time sheets and maintain accurate logs
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned machinery, reporting any issues to the Operations Department
  • Operate heavy construction machinery and vehicles, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
  • Construct various stream and wetland structures, including boulder installations and cross rock vanes
  • Safely use a range of tools and equipment, including hand tools and power tools
  • Ensure proper cleaning and storage of construction equipment and tools
  • Adhere to OSHA and MSHA standards and site-specific regulations
  • Operate trucks and trailers as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy machinery; construction background is advantageous
  • Experience in stream, wetland, and floodplain restoration projects is preferred
  • Familiarity with traditional and GPS survey equipment (Trimble preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willingness to travel for work, with accommodations provided
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
