Position Summary:

The role involves supporting general aquaculture operations, which include, but are not limited to, the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of clam and oyster beds. Responsibilities also encompass general site maintenance and assistance with various projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks on shellfish beds as instructed, including harvesting oysters, installing piping, hanging longlines, and managing clam bed operations.
  • Exhibit the capability to work safely and efficiently in challenging weather conditions typically encountered on tide beds and boats.
  • Assist in the organization and cleanup of the farm as directed.
  • Operate various types of farm machinery, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and boats.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, logs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure farm safety is prioritized at all times, adhering to company health and safety protocols.
  • Provide support for additional duties as needed, including serving as a deckhand on dredge boats and managing longline equipment.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A minimum of six months of relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, farming, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating boats and holding a valid license.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Compensation:

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.
