Solar Inverter Technician

Sungrow USA Corporation is seeking a skilled Solar Inverter Technician to join our team in Lansing, MI. As a key member of our Field Service team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining solar inverters and ancillary equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical assignments involving installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of string and central solar inverters and/or BESS systems.
- Conduct general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow's maintenance and repair guidelines.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems within schedule and work plans.
- Investigate solar plant issues, including DC array grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transients.
- Provide feedback to the engineering and project team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvements.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Renewable industry experience is desired.
- Power Electronics experience is desired.
- OSHA 10 certificate within 12 months of date of hire.
- NFPA 70e certificate within 12 months of date of hire.
Competencies:
- Strong demonstration of workplace safety practices.
- Understands and follows a Safety Plan.
- Comprehend Job Hazard Analysis and conduct level-appropriate Job Hazard Analysis.
- Designated as Authorized Person for LOTO.
- Compliant with environmental safety requirements.
Travel: 80% Plus
Work Location and Status: Full time, Lansing, MI area
Compensation: Compensation commensurate with experience
