Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at 2H Talent. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical control systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Control Systems: Handle electrical control systems and machine automation throughout the facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Mechanical Tasks: Perform mechanical tasks necessary to support electrical duties, including maintenance and repairs.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist Maintenance Technicians in completing tasks, which may include both mechanical and non-mechanical work.
Electrical Responsibilities
  • Automated Production Equipment: Expertise in automated production equipment such as PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), industrial networks (DeviceNet, DH+, Ethernet), variable frequency drives (Allen-Bradley, SEW, Toshiba), and control systems.
  • PLC Programming: Proficiency in reading and interpreting PLC ladder diagrams and using PLC software like RSLogix500/5000 to troubleshoot and modify programs.
  • Process Control Software: Experience with process control software (RSLinx, RSView ME, RSNetWorx, VFD configuration tools) and handheld programming devices.
  • Electrical Safety: Strong comprehension of complex equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams, with knowledge of electrical safety practices according to the NEC and OSHA guidelines.
  • Electrical Inspections: Skilled in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems using test equipment such as volt/ohm meters, amprobes, and oscilloscopes, with ability to perform electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades as needed.
General Responsibilities
  • Professionalism and Safety: Exercise sound judgment in daily job assignments and maintain a high level of professionalism and safety.
  • Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, hydraulic presses, and other shop equipment.
  • Leadership: May provide guidance or leadership to colleagues in lower job classifications.
Personal Qualifications
  • Physical Demands: Physical capability to stand, walk, crawl, climb, reach, and bend for extended periods.
  • Vision and Depth Perception: Ability to differentiate between colors and possess normal vision and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Work Environment: Comfort working in extreme temperatures, around physical hazards, and exposure to chemicals or fumes (within safety limits).
  • Lifting and Handling: Able to safely work on ladders, scaffolds, and handle heavy objects as needed.
