Job Title: State Inspection Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled State Inspection Mechanic to join our team at McCarthy Tire Service Co.

Job Summary:

The State Inspection Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure compliance with state vehicle requirements
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, and wheel balancing
  • Repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, including engine failures and brake work
  • Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems
  • Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
  • Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • State Inspection License
  • Must have own tools
  • Must have clean MVR and pass a drug test
