We are seeking Fixed Wing Flight Operators to deliver medical air transport services to our clients. Operators will be qualified to pilot our Pilatus aircraft. Scheduled shifts operate on a 1 week on/1 week off basis, accommodating both day and night missions. Safety is a fundamental aspect of our operations, and all our flight operators collaborate within a professional team dedicated to maintaining high safety standards for both crew and clients.
Essential Qualifications:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land (C-ASEL) certification required. Must be willing and able to obtain ATP within 5 years of employment.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Possession of a valid and unexpired driver's license.
- 2,500 total flight hours.
- 2,000 hours in fixed wing aircraft.
- 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 500 hours of cross-country flight.
- 100 hours of night flight.
- 75 hours of instrument flight (50 of which must be actual).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of medical professionals to safely transport clients to and from various locations and facilities.
- Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches in accordance with relevant manuals, including all FAR and company requirements, as well as maintaining aircraft cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping for shifts, load manifests, and other regulatory requirements.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with both air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
- Provide shift change information to the incoming flight operator and team, adhering to protocols for recording company change board details.
- Flight operators are responsible for maintaining required certifications and participating in ongoing ground and air training.
Working Environment:
- Required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
- May involve de-icing the aircraft, assisting with towing, and maneuvering in and out of the hangar, as well as preparing the aircraft for flight.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May assist with loading patients, requiring the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
