Position Summary:

This role is integral to the Blue Origin Operations team, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. You will be engaged in the manufacturing and supply chain processes across our various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare wax patterns for metal casting utilizing wax, adhesives, and standard hand tools.
  • Conduct quality tests on completed patterns to ensure compliance prior to shell application.
  • Provide insights and feedback on digital instructions to enhance task execution with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining tooling and equipment inventory.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials and systems while adhering to proper safety protocols.
  • Identify and implement new manufacturing techniques to enhance quality, reduce costs, and streamline production schedules.
  • Contribute to DFMEA and PFMEA studies to improve the design-build-test feedback loop.
  • Support the creation of manufacturing work instructions that outline processes such as receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, testing, integration, and refurbishment.
  • Identify and address non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage hardware configuration and maintain traceability throughout the build and testing phases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and detailed work instructions.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with detailed finishing of highly cosmetic surfaces.
  • 1+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting.

The compensation range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
