Position Summary

St. Paul's Child Care Ministry is a community-focused initiative of St. Paul's County Line Church, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and Christ-centered atmosphere for children's growth. The Early Childhood Educator will operate under the supervision of the Assistant Director and Director, overseeing daily classroom operations. This role is essential in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes active participation and success among young learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement educational programs and classroom activities.
  • Facilitate the emotional and social growth of children.
  • Monitor, document, and assess individual children's engagement and progress.
  • Interact with children and guide them through various activities.
  • Oversee daily tasks including diapering, feeding, cleaning, and toilet training.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and educational delivery.
  • Maintain communication with parents or guardians regarding children's daily experiences and development.
  • Ensure compliance with all ministry guidelines and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; must be at least 18 years old (21+ for infant care).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a childcare environment.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Check.
  • High energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
