Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to join our team at Ogden Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing high-quality patient care, and supporting our surgical team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, ensuring accurate patient identification and verification of surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
  • Count and verify surgical sponges, needles, and instruments, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred (CST) or equivalent.
  • Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
