About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated scientific researcher to join our team at Titan Technologies as part of our participation in the research project "catalaix - Catalysis for a Circular Economy". This project is a collaborative effort between researchers from various disciplines, including chemistry, process engineering, sustainability research, and system evaluation.

Project Overview

catalaix is a 10-year research initiative funded by the Werner Siemens Foundation with a budget of 100 million CHF. The project aims to conduct cutting-edge research on multidimensional circular economy to address the global plastic crisis. Our team at Titan Technologies is responsible for conducting ex-ante sustainability assessments of new technologies and strategically designing sustainable value chains for plastics and circular economy concepts at regional, national, and global levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sustainability assessments of new technologies
• Design sustainable value chains for plastics and circular economy concepts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate new plastic recycling technologies into industrial processes
• Meet the increasing market demand for sustainable plastics and circular economy solutions

Requirements

• PhD candidate or PostDoc with expertise in sustainable value chains, sustainable analytics, and/or sustainable chemistry and plastics
• Strong background in methods such as sustainability assessment (LCA), (sustainable) analytics, and optimization of value chains
• Passion for promoting positive ecological developments through research and innovation
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams
