Overview

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce high-quality scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
  • Provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Prepare patients with proper sterile technique and communicate patient needs and responses through effective verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for the proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment and stay up-to-date on the latest medical devices.
  • Minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation.
  • Assist with patient and family education and support research and related activities.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide complex technical care to meet identified patient needs.
  • Act as a resource for students and junior techs.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience, with one year in CT.
  • Advanced certification in CT preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
