About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse RN Outpatient Prep and Recovery to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a key member of our Ambulatory Surgical Care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of pre- and post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs and levels of consciousness.
- Proactively observe and treat pain, nausea, and other patient symptoms, as well as side effects of anesthesia.
- Perform post-operative tasks, including changing bandages and administering medications.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, incorporating patient teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- BLS and ACLS certification required and maintained.
- Prior medical-surgical experience preferred.
