About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Summer Camp Director to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. This is a seasonal contract position that will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of safe, enjoyable, challenging, fun, and inclusive programming to children and youth.

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and supervise a team of staff to deliver high-quality programming
  • Develop and implement new programs and activities that meet the needs of our participants
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols and standards
  • Manage a budget for supply needs and oversee administrative tasks
  • Build relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and community partners

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a counsellor or in child-oriented programs
  • NLS, G Class driver's license by first day of employment and valid until at least the last day of your contract
  • ACCT Level 2 ropes certification & experience as a supervisor or Program Head considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and empower an inclusive staff team
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $78,960 - $81,480 per year, based on a daily rate of $126.00 - $130.00 and working 37.5 hours per week. This is a competitive salary range for a summer camp director in the Toronto area.
