The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst - Environmental Science to join our Digital and Data Services (DDS) Division. This division plays a key role in providing data science methods, data visualization, and automation tools to a broad range of government agencies, university researchers, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze complex environmental and energy data from various sources, including webscraping and APIs.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and management processes, including documentation of analytical requirements, version control, and code defect management.
  • Design and implement data visualization and reporting tools to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external clients to apply data science methods to answer complex technical questions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in programming languages, including Python and R.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, or related field, plus 5 years of experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, or PhD plus 0 years of experience.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in environmental or energy analytics.
  • Experience publishing environmental science and/or energy manuscripts, dashboards, or products.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of approximately $83,000 to $140,000, depending on location. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off. We also offer opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
