Casting Technician

This role involves the preparation and processing of polyurethane materials, including premixing batches and polymerizing materials to specification. The successful candidate will be responsible for visual inspection of materials produced, product sample submissions, and classification of materials to meet quality standards. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for packaging finished products, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

• Provide assistance to medical staff in the application, maintenance, and removal of casts, traction, and other splint or motion devices as ordered.
• Inform patients, families, staff, and students about the use and care of casts and DME devices.
• Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in good working order.
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A background in medical device fabrication or a related field is preferred.
